P1 / P2 platform VDASH immob decode break through

Vdash can now decode all P1 platform immobiliser pin codes WITHOUT the CEM pin in just a minute.

This is a major break through for people needing to do MOST security off , or program keys.

Some time ago Volvo in their infinite wisdom withdrew “MOST security off” from Main dealer software database so it was very difficult to get MOST security off if you needed to swap in donor infotainment hardware. See this article for help with MOST / ITP security.

Some P2 models can also have immob decoded like this, I’ve asked Vdash for clarification on which models / years it will work for but there has been no clarification. It’s a suck it and see situation currently.

Or this article for help with Key programming.

  1. I was excited that the IMMO pin decode feature was recently added to VDASH as I need to program a spare key. When I run the IMMO decode, it goes through the process of trying (0-100%) and I can see and hear activity in the CEM. But when it finishes it does not decode the pin. I have a US model 2005 S40 T5 w/M66 manual trans. I am using a clone DICE with a 50A battery maintainer. I was able to decode the CEM pin using a teensy 4.0 CEM cracker then manually entered the pin into VDASH. Could this be the reason why it can’t decode the IMMO pin? Should I delete the CEM pin from your database and try again, or does that not matter.. Thank you for any help you can provided, I really need a spare key!

  2. Great news Matt, I can’t wait to get both of those things done on my car. I really need a second/spare key for peace of mind, and Most Security Off so I can get my Dynaudio install working. Does this also mean costs will come down as well?
