This is only for GENUINE DiCE users.
I’ve been meaning to write this post for literally years…and years.
Anyway….Genuine DiCE support Bluetooth (Clones do not, despite the flashing blue Bluetooth LED).
But to use the Bluetooth you have to disable your laptops built in Bluetooth adapter and use the Volvo USB Bluetooth adaptor.
Genuine DiCE will ONLY connect via the Volvo USB Bluetooth adapter.
How pointless is that? replacing a reliable fast usb connection with another more complicated and slow usb connection that will brake your USB port even faster. Well #BecauseVolvo thats why.
But I Digress, below is a link to a registry patch that will allow DiCE to connect via your laptops built in Bluetooth! yay…a slight less crappy connection.
When messing about trying to get it setup, i suggest you power the DiCE by 12v in the socket on the head, and use DiCE diagnostic to confirm the connection. Of course, make sure the USB is disconnected.
If you hit connect on DiCE diagnostic and its comes back with the firmware version and voltage, thats it your done.
I seem to remember you only have a relatively short window to perform Bluetooth pairing with the DiCE . So just power cycle it if you’ve taken to long.
