A question that is often asked when looking at live data, is well…. What should it read?
What should the map sensor read at idle or at full boost ?
There are several places in Vida you can look this information up.
In Diagnostics, Vehicle communication, (select module) , Parameters, there is a button at the bottom called “description” .
This gives some information on the expected values. its not perfect, and sometimes the really critical information is missing
but there is a SECOND section of information!!!!!
It’s thats slighter harder to find, but no less interesting. Morse so even.
In Vida go to the “information” heading at the top, then “Product specification”, the “Specifications Other” then any module you care to expand has “Description of Parameters”
It has some fantastic information.
Not only that it gives description of the function of other diagnostic activates (Activations as they call them).
It really is a treasure trove of information.

Some sub-trees in the diagnostic – vehicle communication module doesn’t open?
In the ECM module the general info branch opens and I can select the variables, ut for the other branches (intake, fuel, etc) when I press on the + icon to open, nothing happens, just the + icon disappears. Is there a fix or workaround for this? The variables wich I can open function normally and also I can acccess the activations related to the non-functioning variables.
